Crimes Against Property Division carries out investigation of crimes directed against property; further subdivided into:
- Economic Crimes Unit - Investigates frauds, forgeries and similar offenses. This unit also includes Investigators who monitor activity at pawn and secondhand shops to ensure compliance with applicable laws and ordinances, and investigators who follow up environmental and computer-related crime.
- Property Crimes Unit - Investigates residential, commercial and auto burglaries as well as auto thefts requiring latent investigation.
- Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) Unit - Utilizes multiple areas of technology, real-time data streams and intelligence-led policing strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the St. Petersburg Police Department's response to all threats within our community.
