Larry Darnell Brown ,61, of St. Petersburg has died from injuries suffered in a pedestrian-involved traffic crash in the 1700 block of 4th Street South late Sunday.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Feb. 8, Brown was crossing from east to west on 4th Street South. He was not crossing at a marked crosswalk.

Brown entered the path of a white, 2025 Kia K4 sedan traveling south, approaching the 1700 block of 4th St. S., and was hit. He was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Brown died from his injuries at the hospital early today, Feb. 9. His family has been notified.

The Kia driver, who was uninjured, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. The investigation is active and ongoing.
