E-Bike Rider Dies from Crash Injuries

On November 23, at 12:30 a.m., Shapon Sarder, was riding his Gotrax E-Bike southbound on 49th Street North in the curb lane approaching 39th Avenue North.

For unknown reasons, Sarder began to ride diagonally in a southeast direction and rode in front of a southbound Hyundai Sonata.

The Hyundai driver was unable to stop and crashed into Sarder's E-Bike. Sarder was thrown from the E-Bike and sustained serious injuries. The driver stopped immediately and stayed on scene.

Sarder was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries on November 26.

His next of Kin has been notified.
