The Pinellas Medical Examiner confirmed that a body found deep in the Weedon Island Preserve on Friday, March 14th, is that of missing 17-year-old Allister Samer Nasr.
The Pinellas County Medical Examiner is still working to determine the cause of death and is awaiting the results of further testing. There are no signs of trauma and no reason to suspect foul play.
Nasr was last seen on March 1st when he left his home on a bicycle.
The bicycle was found last week on Wednesday near Weedon Island Preserve.
Detectives used all resources available to find Allister, including but not limited to; neighborhood flyers and searches of Weedon Island on foot and by drones, helicopter, thermal imaging, and boats.

A body was found deep in the Weedon Island Preserve on Friday, March 14th.
Due to the condition of the body, detectives are unable to confirm if it is the body of missing 17-year-old Allister Nasr.
The Pinellas County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and attempt to identify the body.
Nasr's been missing since he left his home on a bicycle on March 1st. The bicycle was found earlier this week on Wednesday near Weedon Island Preserve.
Searches of Weedon Island have been conducted on foot and by drones , helicopter, thermal imaging and boats for the last several days.
A park ranger found some personal items and a helicopter was brought in again late Friday and found the remains.

Police have found the white Beach Cruiser bicycle belonging to a missing teenager last seen March 1st. But the search continues for its owner, 17-year-old Allister Samer Nasr.
The bicycle was discovered about 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12th, in the area of 94th Avenue North and San Martin Boulevard Northeast, south of Gandy Boulevard.
The discovery sparked an intense search for Allister by air, land and water in the Weedon Island Preserve area. Officers using drones, Marine boats, and search and resue bloodhounds and cadaver dogs fanned out in the area to search for him.
The search resumed today.
It's important that we find Allister as soon as possible. He's considered an endangered, missing person because evidence collected after his disappearance raised concerns about his personal safety.
Allister was last seen about 10 a.m. March 1st, leaving his home on the bicycle near the 6500 block of Bayou Grande Boulevard Northeast.
At the time, Allister was wearing blue shorts, a gray sweatshirt, white shoes, and carrying a black backpack on his back. Shortly after, he dropped off the black backpack on a nearby school campus and switched to a red backpack.

Earlier today family members of 17-year Allister Samer Nasr of St. Petersburg found a note left by the missing teen. It raised concerns about his personal safety.
It's important that we find Allister as soon as possible.
He was last seen leaving his home at 10 a.m. March 1st near the 6500 block of Bayou Grande Blvd. NE.
He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a gray sweatshirt and white shoes and was riding a white Beach Cruiser bicycle.
We originally posted a missing teen notification on our social media page, but elevated Allister's status to an endangered, missing teen due to concerns he may harm himself.
