The St. Petersburg SWAT team executed an arrest warrant at 430 3rd Avenue South, Apt. 158, today, January 31, at 10:30 a.m. Officers took Jason Foley, DOB 12-22-1977, into custody without injuring him or the officers. Foley lives alone and no one else was at the apartment.

Investigators from an out-of-state law enforcement agency notified St. Petersburg Police that Foley was connected to their investigation. Their suspect and Foley had been discussing plans online to kidnap, sexually assault, and murder a child. (the child does not live in Florida)

Foley is charged with:

• 23 counts of possession of child pornography
• 3 counts of transmission of child pornography -conspiracy to commit 1st-degree murder
• conspiracy to commit kidnapping -conspiracy to commit capital sexual battery
• conspiracy to commit aggravated child abuse
