Police arrested a 10th-grade boy at Gibbs High School this morning for bringing a stolen gun to campus.
A tip to administrators and the School Resource Officer led to the arrest. The 16-year-old did not make any threats to other students or the school.
He is charged with the following:
St. Petersburg police make the safety of students a top priority and any weapon on campus, or other threat to school safety, will be thoroughly investigated. This serves as a reminder to students that the police department takes these matters very seriously and the consequences could be severe.
