St. Petersburg Police arrested Cory Kendrick, DOB 4-4-2000, for committing a series of smash-and-grab vehicle burglaries throughout the city between January 2nd and January 5th. (booking photo is below)
On surveillance video from January 4th, at 9:45 a.m., Kendrick is seen riding his bicycle through the Publix parking lot, 1700 34th St. N., smashing car windows, rummaging through vehicles, and taking items. A total of 11 vehicles were damaged at that location.
The next morning, a police officer spotted Kendrick riding a bicycle near the 1100 block of Baum Avenue and recognized him from the video. He attempted to flee but was quickly arrested a short distance away. Officers also recovered two guns.
Through the investigation, detectives were able to link Kendrick to vehicle burglaries throughout the area, including five at a Dentist's Office parking lot at 3238 4th St. N. on January 2nd.

Detectives are still reaching out to potential victims and witnesses and believe that Kendrick is a suspect in several other related crimes over the last month. Additional charges may be forthcoming pending further investigation.
