Fatal Pedestrian Crash on MLK St. S.

At about 9:45 p.m., Friday, February 21, a silver Land Rover SUV driven by Kimberly Barham of St. Petersburg, was traveling southbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South. 

She struck a pedestrian, Tevin Griffin of St. Petersburg, who was crossing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South in an unmarked crosswalk, from west to east on the north side of 20th Ave. S. 

Barham then left the scene of the crash. Griffin was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital where he died from his injuries. 

Barham was located approximately an hour later at her home and arrested for DUI Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death.
