2nd Suspect in April 16th Home Invasion Arrested

St. Petersburg detectives identified 22-year-old Ja'quavius Corde Daniels as the 2nd suspect in the Home Invasion that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Marcel James Williams.

Daniels is charged with Felony Murder. He turned himself into authorities last night.

Summary:

On April 16th, officers responded to a home invasion at 3401 40th Street North. Two armed men had entered the home when the homeowner confronted them. The homeowner fired shots and injured one of the suspects, Marcel Williams. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront, where he died of his injuries. The second suspect fled from the home.

After further investigation, detectives identified Daniels as the second suspect and had a warrant for his arrest.

Home Invasion

Two men entered a home at 3401 40th St. N. at about 2a.m. today.

The homeowner fired shots and injured one of the suspects. That suspect was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. He hasn't been identified.

The second suspect fled the home.

This is very early in an active ongoing investigation and there are no other details to release at this time.
