Release posted on 09-12-24 at 9:05 AM

This week Chief Anthony Holloway convened a Command Review Board to review allegations that Officer Brent Clark made a racially insensitive statement to another officer in the building. The Board sustained the allegation of conduct unbecoming of a police officer. Clark's employment was terminated on Wednesday, September 11.

Clark was sworn as a St. Petersburg Police Officer on October 31, 2011. He was assigned to the Traffic Section.

Summary: On April 18th, 2024, Officer Brent Clark was at the evidence processing station inside Police Department Headquarters, when he made a racially insensitive comment to another officer. The 2nd officer shared Clark's comment with other officers. A supervisor was informed and the Office of Professional Standards opened an investigation. After the investigation, the Command Review Board was convened.

A report will be forwarded to the FDLE Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
