St. Petersburg Police Auto Theft Detectives received information on a stolen 2018 Jeep Trackhawk, a high-performance SUV stolen from Massachusetts, that was suspected to be in our area.

The SUV was believed to have had an altered Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Through investigative techniques, ATU detectives located the SUV and the driver was taken into custody.

A vehicle search was conducted, and a substantial amount of methamphetamine and cocaine were confiscated. Additionally, $3,200 in US Currency was also seized.

Christopher Davis, DOB 9/12/1987, was charged with the following:

• Trafficking in Greater than 400g of Cocaine
• Trafficking in Greater than 200g of Methamphetamine
• Grand Theft of Motor Vehicle
• Dealing in Stolen Property
