Shooting Investigation 16 Avenue South

Update: Homicide of Anthony Ly

Detectives arrested one suspect, Eddie Smith III (08/09/1998), for Felony 1st Degree Murder on November 7th for the death of Anthony Ly on October 30th.

However, Detectives are still searching for a second suspect. Datrik Pettis (11/22/2000) is wanted for Felony 1st Degree Murder.

Anthony Ly (11/10/2003) was shot and killed on the evening of October 30th in a driveway in the 2800 block of 16th Ave. S.

A reward for information is still being offered.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Anthony Ly. He remains in extremely critical condition.

Tonight at about 5 p.m., police responded to a call of a man down in a driveway at 2814 16th Avenue South.

He had suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. No update on his condition but he was seriously injured.

The victim does not live at the home. Investigators are working to determine why he was there and who shot him.

We will send an update when more information becomes available.
