Shortly before 5 p.m., a tow truck was traveling westbound in the 1900 block of 5th Avenue South. A Honda CR-V, driven by Shakesha Desence (DOB 12/15/1988), was making a left-hand turn onto 5th Avenue South from 20th Street South when they crashed.
Shakesha Desence was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital where she was pronounced dead due to her injuries.
Dilean Desence (DOB 09/16/1952), was a passenger in the SUV who died at the scene. His 9-year-old grandson, also a passenger, was transported to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
The next of kin have been notified.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Shortly before 5p.m., a tow truck and a small SUV crashed at 5th Avenue South and 22nd Street South.
Two adults in the SUV died from their injuries. One passenger, a child, was seriously injured and taken to All Children's Hospital.
St. Petersburg Officers are investigating and the intersection will be closed for several hours.
No other information on the victims is available. I'll send an update if any other details an be released.
