Shooting Involving Female Student on School Bus

The 13-year-old girl is in stable condition.

Investigators determined that she brought the gun on the bus. No other students were threatened or harmed.

Investigators are working to determine how she obtained the gun. This is an ongoing investigation.

Officers are at the intersection of 49th St N and 18th Ave, working a scene of a female student with a gunshot wound on a school bus.

The female student was the only one in possession of the gun. Police now have possession of the firearm.

No other students were involved or hurt.

The student was transported to All Children's Hospital.

The school bus was transporting 20 students to Tyrone Middle School.

PIO Yolanda is on the way to the scene.

It is still early in the investigation; additional details will be released when they become available.
