On June 9, 2024, at 12:40 a.m., a motorcycle,operated by Damian Astacio (M, 09/22/1986, St. Petersburg, Florida) was traveling northeast on Overlook Drive Northeast.

A Ford F-150, operated by Luke Martin (M, 9/7/2002, St. Petersburg, Florida) was traveling southwest on Overlook Drive Northeast.

Martin turned left turn to travel onto Bayshore Boulevard Northeast and into the path of Astacio.

Astacio was pronounced deceased from his injuries on scene.

The truck driver, Martin, was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for injuries.

At this time, the investigation is still ongoing.
