Murder Arrest
Detectives arrested Ivan Edward (DOB 03/16/2001) and charged him with First Degree Murder for the death of 42-year-old Kelli Fisher. Booking photo below.
Kelli was last seen leaving in her Aunt's car on July 16th and her Aunt reported her missing on July 17th. Officers later found her car on July 18th abandoned in an empty lot.
Her family made an emotional plea for information on her whereabouts on July 30th.
On August 1st, the Pinellas Medical examiner confirmed that remains found in a burned-out house at 1720 Prescott St. S. were those of Kelli Fisher, and that she had been stabbed numerous times before the fire.
Edward is a family acquaintance and was known to the victim. He has been in custody since July 29th for unrelated charges of auto theft and armed burglary.

On July 30,2024 at 1 p.m., at the St. Petersburg Police Department, 1301 1st Avenue N., the sister of missing woman Kelli Fisher, will be available to speak to the media to ask for information that may help locate her.
Detectives have been actively searching for 42-year-old Kelli Fisher, who was last seen two weeks ago on July 16th. She left her home in the 1700 Block of Prescott Street South in her aunt's car and never returned. Today her sister, Latifa Jackson, will be available at 1 p.m. to speak to the media.
Background:
Investigators and Kelli's family are concerned for her safety. She suffers from some mental health issues but has never gone missing before and it is unlike her not to contact any family member or her boyfriend.
She is described as 5'8 tall and weighing approximately 200lbs. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair.
