At 7:06 am. this morning, a Kia Sorento and a bicyclist were traveling north in the 7600-block of 18th Way North. The Kia Sorento attempted to pass the bicyclist by steering the vehicle west of the roadway when the bicyclist attempted to do the same. The Kia Sorento ultimately struck the bicycle, causing the crash.

The bicyclist, George Kyriazis (03/27/1958), was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin has been notified.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing.

At 7:06 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a crash involving a bicyclist in the 1800-block of 76th Place North.

The victim is an adult man who is in his late 60s or early 70s. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.

The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
