At 1:55 a.m. this morning, officers responded to 653 64th Avenue South in reference to a man who was shot inside the home. Investigators believe this was a domestic-related incident. The suspect lived at the home, and the victim was known to the suspect. This was not a burglary.

The victim is alive and is being treated at the hospital.

Jacob Merrett (DOB 06/02/1988) was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree.
