Update: Homicide Arrest
Arrested: Tyree Gland 01-09-1990 (1st Degree Murder)
A short time ago, St. Petersburg Police detectives took Tyree Gland into custody without incident in the 1900 block of 3 Ave.N.
Gland was wanted for striking his brother, Taiwan Gland, with a car and killing him early Monday, February 26th.
No additional details will be released this evening.

Accessory Charged in Homicide
We have several updates in the homicide case of Taiwan Gland(Sr).
Today, St. Petersburg Police arrested and charged Sebastian Williams, DOB 12-4-91, with accessory after the fact to 1st-degree murder. He was the passenger in the vehicle that struck and killed Taiwan Gland, early Monday, February 26th.
Tyree Gland continues to be the primary suspect in this case. He remains at large. A Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest. The caller may remain anonymous. The flyer is attached.
Also attached, is a photo of the car that Tyree was last seen driving. It is a dark blue 2018 Cadillac ATS, with tag AT21AH.

Police Seek Suspect in Homicide
The St. Petersburg Police Dept. is searching for Tyree Gland, DOB 1-9-90. A photo is attached. He is wanted for the murder of his brother, 35-year-old Taiwan Gland.
Early on the morning of February 26th, detectives believe Tyree intentionally struck Taiwan with a vehicle two times, killing him. It occurred on 7th Avenue South, near 12th Street South.

Victim identified
The victim of the homicide at 7th Avenue South and 12th Street South has been identified as Taiwan James Gland (DOB 06/22/1988).
There is no further information at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and Run Pedestrian Fatality now being Investigated as a Homicide
The hit-and-run pedestrian fatality from overnight is now being investigated as a homicide.
Investigators determined that the vehicle driver deliberately struck the victim.

At 2:39 a.m. police were called to an adult man who was lying in the intersection at 7th Ave. S. and 12 St. S. Rescue was called but he died at the scene.
Officers determined he was hit by an unknown vehicle. The intersection will be closed for several hours for the investigation.
