Just before 6:00 am, officers responded to the intersection of 28th Street North and Haulkey Robert PL N due to a traffic fatality involving an E-Bike.

A Ford Fusion and a Jupiter Electric Bike were traveling southbound on 28th Street North in the curb lane when they crashed.

A second car, a Nissan Quest, struck the victim after he fell from his electric bike.

The victim, a 46-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The release of the name is pending the notification of the next of kin.

Both drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Traffic investigators are at the intersection of 28th St., North and Haulkey Robert's PL N due to traffic fatality involving an E-Bike.

28th Street North is shut down from MCI Drive to 110th Avenue North. We ask that drivers avoid the intersection and find an alternate route.
