Child Shot

At 12:15 p.m., police responded to a house at 1421 43rd St. S., for a gunshot wound to an 11-year-old boy. Amir Williams, DOB July 13, 2012, died at the scene.

There was no school today and Amir was home with his 14-year-old brother and 13-year-old sister.

The 14-year-old brother admitted he was playing with the gun and accidentally shot his 11- year-old brother.

The gun was reported stolen on April 24th in St. Petersburg. Detectives are still trying to determine how the 14-year-old had possession of it.

This is an ongoing investigation and no one has been charged at this time.

The child died at the scene from his injuries.

At 12:15 p.m. , police responded to a house at 1421 43rd St. S., for a gunshot wound to a boy. The boy was at the home with his siblings.

Investigators are working to determine what happened.
