Crash Seriously Injuring an 11-Year-Old Girl

On May 9th, Shavaria Brown (11/17/1998), the driver of the Honda Odyssey was criminally charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and child neglect, as the 11-year-old female passenger was not properly secured with a seatbelt.

The registered owner of the Honda Odyssey was also charged for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate her motor vehicle.

The 11-year-old girl is still hospitalized but is no longer in critical condition. She is currently receiving treatment for the injuries she suffered from the crash.

This is still an ongoing investigation.

At 8:59 a.m., a traffic officer was conducting a traffic stop on 1st Avenue South just east of 34th Street South on a Mercedes SUV. The driver sped up and fled from the officer and ran a red light on 31st Street South. The driver crashed into a Honda Mini Van that was southbound on 31st Street South.

Both occupants of the Honda Mini Van were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. An 11-year-old girl was an occupant in the Honda Mini Van and is seriously injured.

The driver, Ajaye Morrer (08/04/2004), was arrested and charged with the following:
