An ongoing argument occurred between two groups of teens and young adults over social media. This continued to escalate until 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 30th, when four teens, all carrying guns, went to a home in the area of 6th Avenue South and 29th Street.

When they arrived, they confronted an armed man who was defending the house and fired at him. He returned fire. One of the four teens, 17-year-old Lewis Johnson, was injured and died. His three associates were arrested today and charged as follows:

• Chandler Kegler, DOB 01/17/2007, 2nd degree attempted murder, felony murder
• Ian Byrd, DOB 04/12/2008, 2nd degree attempted, felony murder
• Jhimer Williams, DOB 05/11/2007, 2nd degree attempted murder

The man who returned fire is not being charged at this time.
