Shortly before 11 p.m., St. Petersburg Police Officers arrested Derek Johnson, 12-30-76, a fugitive wanted for two homicides in Savannah, Ga. His booking photo is attached.

On Friday, October 27th, at 12;20 a.m., Savannah Police responded to a call and found a man, deceased from a gunshot, in the roadway. A woman was also found deceased just off the roadway.

St. Petersburg detectives received information that Johnson was in the St. Petersburg area. They were able to locate him and arrest him without incident last night.
