Two Teens Arrested for Threatening Social Media Post

Release posted on 10-19-23 at 4:36 p.m.

On October 18th, the St. Petersburg Police Department became aware of a social media post that showed a threatening message with a photo of two teenagers pointing what appeared to be guns, while standing in front of a Pinellas County Sheriff Deputy's parked vehicle.

Today, police arrested the two teenage boys, ages 15 and 17 on various charges.

Parents, please remind your teens that threats on social media are not a joke. The St. Petersburg Police Department takes threatening social media posts very seriously and the consequences could be severe.
