At 2:15 a.m., a blue 2006 Lexus RX330, was traveling northbound in the 1800 block of 34th Street South. A pedestrian, Cassandra Gelineau (DOB 05/31/1994), St Petersburg, was walking from west to east in the south cross walk at the intersection of 15th Avenue South and 34th Street South. Gelineau was struck by the front of the vehicle while she was in the crosswalk. 

 The Lexus fled the scene and was later found in the area. The driver is still unknown. Gelineau was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is still on going.
