Attempted Homicide Arrest
Police arrested Bryton Dunbar, DOB 9-1-91, for three counts of attempted homicide.
On May 1st, Dunbar shot at three people in the parking garage at the Tru by Hilton St. Petersburg Hotel, 1650 Central Ave.
A 25-year-old man, who works at the hotel as a valet, and a 27-year-old woman were both in the parking garage at the time of the shooting. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are recovering. The third victim, a man, was not injured.
This was not a random shooting, and at least two of the victims and the suspect were known to each other.
This is still an active investigation.

Police have confirmed the shooting that injured two people early this afternoon occurred in the parking garage at the Tru by Hilton St. Petersburg Hotel at 1650 Central Ave.
A 25-year-old man, who works at the hotel as a valet, and a 29-year-old woman were both in the parking garage at the time of they shooting. They suffered non-life threatening injuries and remain in stable condition at a local hospital.
Police detectives are investigating the incident that appears to a targeted attack. They do not believe it was a random occurrence.
Police continue to search for the person responsible.

At about 12:30 p.m. today, May 1, we received a call about shots fired in the 1600 block of Central Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
There is no information about a suspect.
It is early in the investigation.
A media staging area is being set up at Central Avenue and 16th Street.
