A 13-year-old boy accidentally shot himself last night. His injury is not life-threatening.

At 7:35 p.m., Thursday, March 9th, police officers responded to a call of a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. He shot himself in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue South. He went to a nearby church for assistance.

Investigators are still working to determine who owns the gun and where/how the teen obtained it.
