Today at 5a.m., a black Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Jajuan Iquan Thompson (DOB 05/25/1990, St. Petersburg, Florida) was traveling eastbound on Pinellas Point Drive at a high rate of speed.

He failed to make the northbound turn, where Pinellas Point Drive South turns into 4th Street South. Thompson's vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.

Thompson was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and later died of his injuries.
