At about 2:13 p.m. today, Jan. 30, a vehicle hit a pedestrian in a parking lot in the 600 block of 10th Street North.

The motorist said he mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The vehicle lurched forward and pinned a man between two vehicles.

He was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

It is an active investigation.
