Just before 4pm, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, a black Ford F-150 driven by Jeanette Rubin was traveling north bound from the Publix parking lot located at 5295 34th Street South. Rubin suffered a medical episode while leaving the parking lot which caused her to continue traveling northbound and cross over 50th Avenue South before entering the parking lot of Bay Moorings Animal Hospital. Rubin's vehicle eventually struck an unoccupied parked vehicle.

Rubin was transported to Bayfront Health where she was later pronounced dead. Next of kin has been notified.
