Detectives arrested Shakerra Long (DOB 2/10/93) for 2nd-degree murder in the death of Brian Graham (DOB 01/09/1980). They took her into custody Thursday at 11:35 p.m.

They were in a domestic relationship and investigators believe Long stabbed Graham early Sunday, February 5th.

On February 7th, a neighbor called St. Petersburg Police at 9:04 p.m. to report Graham had died. Upon further investigation, the trauma to the body led detectives to investigate the death as a homicide.

The victim is Brian Graham DOB 01/09/1980. The next of kin has been notified.

The investigation is still, there are no other details to release at this time.

On February 7, 2023, at 9:04 p.m., officers responded to a half address at 1915 17th Street South in reference to an unattended death. Officers located a 43-year-old man dead inside the house.

Overnight, the medical examiner and technician determined he had upper body trauma, and this is now being investigated as a homicide.

The name of the victim will be released when the next of kin has been notified.

This is very early in the investigation, and we have no other details to release at this time.
