St. Petersburg Police detectives are investigating a 15-year-old boy who was shot early this morning.

He arrived at the hospital at 6:44 a.m. with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He is currently being treated and we don't have an update on his condition at this time.

Investigators determined that the shooting occurred in the roadway in the 2200 block of 17th Avenue South.
