Arrest Made in Sundial Shooting

Deshayne McCullough, 18, has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon causing Great Bodily Harm and Delinquent in Possession of a Firearm.

On April 8th, 2023, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers responded to 2nd Avenue North in reference to a person shot. Officers located a 13-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Detectives determined that McCullough had shot the victim after a verbal argument before fleeing on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still active and ongoing.
