Due to high demand, our public works employees have been working hard to get the sandbag sites open today.

They will be self serve today. City workers will be on hand to assist tomorrow.

Sandbags provide only limited protection. Prepare your personal storm plan. Know your evacuation zone and plan accordingly.

Sandbags will be also be available Monday , 8a.m. To sundown, and Tuesday 8a.m. until weather conditions permit, to city residents at the following city locations:

• Lake Maggiore, 3601 Dr. MLK Jr. St. S
• Northeast Park, 875 62nd Avenue NE
• Northwest Pool, 2331 60th Street N

Residents should provide proof of St. Petersburg residency and will be limited to 10 sandbags.
