The bank robber from Thursday has been identified as Johnnie Whippee (DOB 4-6-63) and has been arrested and charged with robbery (with a weapon).

Just before 2:00pm today, September 15th, 2022, a man robbed Hancock Whitney Bank, 100 2nd Avenue North. The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was wearing a fedora and light blue colored shirt with a distinctive logo on the front that we hope someone will recognize.

The suspect is believed to be in his mid-40s, 5'10 feet tall and weighing about 160lbs.
