The body found in Dell Holmes Park last week has been identified as Tyrone Wilson McKenzie, Jr. (DOB 5-23-2003)

Family members reported him missing on October 5th. He was last seen on September 27th.

A gun was found with his body.

Through the investigation, detectives have determined it was a suicide.

On October 6, 2022 Patrol Officers were called to Dell Holmes Park, 2741 22 St. S., to a decomposed body in the park. It was found in heavy brush in an area not normally used by the general public.

Due to the condition of the body, the gender and identity of the deceased remains unknown.

This is currently being investigated as a Suspicious Death. The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information to release.
