Tuesday, October 4th, at 7 a.m., the St. Petersburg Police Department will be sending 24 officers to North Port to assist the local police department.

Mayor Ken Welch and Chief Anthony Holloway will meet with the group at 7 a.m. at the St. Petersburg Police Department Headquarters. Immediately afterwards they will leave in a convoy and head south to North Port. Media is invited to attend.

This mission is in coordination with the Florida Department of Emergency Management to provide assistance and relief to the communities to our south that were hardest hit by Hurricane Ian.
