Update :Pedestrian Struck by Car Dies

Victim: Eileen O'Shea (DOB 1/31/42) has died from her injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.

At 12:30 p.m., a woman dropped off her two friends in the 5100 block of 5th Avenue North. While backing out of the driveway, the driver unknowingly struck and backed over one of the friends, an 80 year- old woman.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver is cooperating with investigators.

The 5100 block of 5th Avenue North will be closed to traffic due to the investigation.
