James White (DOB 11/01/1996) has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Marcus Nilsen (DOB 08/03/1992) on 34th Avenue South today.

White shot Nilsen early Saturday morning, May 21, 2022, during an altercation at a house where White lives at 4052 34th Ave. S.

Police officers arrived on scene shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday and found a man with a gunshot wound. The man identified as Nilsen was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives are investigating the incident at this time.

The shooting incident at 4052 34th Ave. S. was reported to police at 7:31 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022.

We are investigating a fatal shooting in the 4000 block of 34th Avenue South.

A 29-year-old man has been pronounced deceased following the incident.

A second man has been taken into custody for questioning.
