Media should come south on 34th street to an empty lot on the northeast corner of 21st ave. S.

Shortly before 9 p.m. an Officer was involved in a shooting with a suspect. This occurred near 22nd Ave. South and 34th St., South in St. Petersburg. The officer was not injured and the suspect was taken to the hospital.

The media staging area is in a parking lot at the corner of 21st Ave. South and 34th St.

All lanes of 34th St. will be closed north and south at that location.
