Homicide Investigation

Detectives investigating the shooting death of Tytaquisha Pearson said the incident occurred early Sunday following an altercation between the victim and suspect Jerrell Sha'ron Hall (DOB 10/22/1996).

The shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. Sunday (03/20/22) at 1910 1/2 23rd St. S.

Hall and Pearson were known to each other.

Hall was arrested Sunday in Tampa. He was booked at the Hillsborough County Jail on weapons charges, providing a false name to law enforcement, and an out of county warrant for first degree murder issued by St. Petersburg Police.

The suspect is in custody and charged with 1st degree murder for shooting Tytaquisha Pearson , age 25. Tampa police had arrested him earlier today on an unrelated charge. He will be brought to Pinellas County to face charges.

The suspect and the deceased victim were known to each other.

At approximately 1:30a.m. today, a woman was dropped off at the emergency room with gunshot wounds. The victim, Tytaquisha Pearson , DOB 8/16/1996, died several hours later from her injuries.

The hospital notified police and detectives are actively investigating to determine where the shooting occurred.
