Just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3rd, a silver Chevrolet Equinox driven by Carolyn Kiefer (DOB 02/07/1938) was traveling northbound on 34th Street North in the left turning lane for 5th Avenue North. A silver Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on 34th Street North, when the Equinox made a left-hand turn in front of the Camry and the vehicles crashed.

Carolyn Kiefer and front seat passenger, Robert Kiefer (DOB 03/22/1926), were both transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries. Robert Kiefer was later pronounced deceased on March 5th. The crash is still under investigation.
