On January 28, at approximately 10 p.m., officers were called to the area of I-275 just south of the Howard Frankland Bridge. A citizen located what appeared to be human bones under heavy vegetation.

Detectives from the Major Crime Unit responded. The scene was processed and the bones were collected. Further investigation will be conducted in hopes of determining the identity of the unknown person.
