Scooter Crash With Injuries

The adult victim in the vehicle vs. e-scooter traffic crash the intersection of 1st Avenue North and 16th Street North suffered non-life threatening injuries.

She remains at the hospital for observation and treatment.

The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. today, Jan. 14, when the standup, e-scooter operated by the adult, traveling northbound on 16th St. N., entered the path of a westbound vehicle on 1st Ave. N.

The crash remains under investigation.

The intersection of 1st Avenue North and 16th Street North is shut down following a vehicle vs. scooter crash with injuries.

A woman riding a scooter at the time of the crash was transported to the hospital for treatment. No further details were available.

Due to the crash, traffic on westbound 1st Avenue North is being detoured onto 13th Street North. All lanes on 16th Street North are closed north to Burlington Avenue and south to Central Avenue.

Motorists should find alternate routes.
