Student Arrested

Release posted on 12-14-22 at 1:46 p.m.

A 17 year- old boy, (11th grade) was arrested for bringing a gun onto campus at MycroSchool Pinellas Charter High School, 840 3rd Avenue S. today. The school safety officer discovered the handgun in the student's locker and notified police. No threats were made to the school or other students.

He faces the following charges:
-Possession of a weapon on school property -Possession of a firearm by person under 18 years of age

The St. Petersburg Police makes the safety of students a top priority and any weapon on campus, or other threat to school safety, is thoroughly investigated.
