Teen Shot

The preliminary findings of the investigation indicate that Trill Wright was handling the gun and accidently shot himself. This must still be confirmed through the Pinellas Medical Examiner.

Investigators are still working to determine how he obtained the gun.

This is still an ongoing investigation.

15 year old Trill Tewan Wright , DOB 2-21-07, died of his injuries.

He was visiting a friend's home and the gunshot occurred inside the house.

Currently investigators are working to determine what happened. The investigation continues. I don't expect any additional updates tonight.

Police are investigating a teenage boy who suffered a gunshot wound at a home at 4244 12TH Avenue South. The call came in at 4:34p.m.

It is very early in the investigation. PIO Yolanda Fernandez is enroute to the scene.
