An arrest warrant was signed this afternoon charging Johnny Carnegie, DOB 4-07-88, with two counts of first- degree murder for killing Vernon Williams on April 10 and killing Corlenzo Williams on April 12, in St. Petersburg. Carnegie was previously a person of interest in these cases.

He is also charged with one count of aggravated assault in a third case. The name of that victim is not being released at this time as this is still part of an ongoing investigation.

Carnegie is currently in the Hillsborough County Jail on unrelated charges. He will remain there until the extradition process can be completed. There is no timetable as to when that will occur.
