At 5:52 a.m, police responded to a man shot in the parking lot of the MLK Food Store, 1500 Dr. MLK St. S.

An 84 year old man was shot while he was sitting in his car in the parking lot at that location.The victim suffered a non life- threatening injury. Another vehicle was also struck by a bullet but no one else was hurt.

K9 Officers tracked the suspect and he was arrested by 6:06 a.m. Suspect:Tyrone Church, DOB 10-22-59.

He faces charges for two counts of attempted murder not premeditated and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.
