Victim: Gilbert Ray Bush, B/M 10-26-1991

Arrested: Charles Edward Bentley, B/M 09-16-1998 (2nd Degree Murder)

On 10/02/2021 Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded to the 200 block of 1st Ave N in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival the victim had been transported to Bayfront where he was pronounced deceased suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. At this time it appears that the victim and suspect engaged in an argument over the suspect and his friends standing in a parking spot that the victim wanted to park in. During this course of the argument the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim multiple times before leaving the area on foot. The suspect was apprehended by officers a short distance from the scene. Bentley is being charged with 2nd Degree Murder. Next of Kin has been notified.
